I have just finished my MA in curating, little less than a month ago and I have been trying to think of a way to get my creative juices running and keeping my writing skills up, (as I have little). So I am going to start a blog focusing on women artist and issue, this is not a girls only club, but women artist and generally women's issues is what I want to focus my career on as a curator. It will be so fun to revisit artist I love and discover new ones, also finding male artist who create work that is positive to women's body images and ideologies. So with this blog I am going to talk about an artist (or artists) who interest me, and talk a little about why I find their work compelling, what my favorite pieces of work they have done, and if I can recommend any books, movies, exhibitions about the artist I will do all that!! Then lastly come up with an idea for an exhibition on what type of exhibition I would want to see these artist in, if I had free range of every collection imaginable!!! I am doing this for myself but if anyone actually reads it, GREAT!! Please give me tips, ideas, anything positive will be fantastic, I will not accept DIE FEMINIST DIE! (I live in a very small village you will not find me :)) 

Since finishing my masters I have had a kidney infection, bad stomach and at this moment I am stuck in bed with an ear infection which really hurts like a bitch. 

(But I got to snuggle with my Sally Girl which was lovely)

Through my time moping and sulking in bed like a sad panda I have had someone very important looking over me.

         “Snap out of it! You know what I went through, I wish I only had a fucking ear infection, on your feet soldier and get moving!!!

I know what you thinking…..How would Frida Kahlo a woman who died in 1954 know any popular 1980 movie quotes..well what would you watch when you're dead. So for my first blog it will be about the amazing Frida Kahlo probably the most famous women artist today.

So next Monday I will have a blog up all about Frida and her work.
